American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine held 2018 Annual Members Appreciation Reception
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine held its Annual Members Appreciation Reception on 1 February, which gathered 400+ distinguished guests, namely Chamber members, state officials, partners and friends of the Chamber.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was honored to welcome on stage Volodymyr Groysman, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Susan Danger, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, and Grzegorz Chmielarski, Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors 2018, Managing Director of McDonald’s Ukraine.
The event passed under the sign of economic growth. According to the results of the survey held in real time during the event, 63% of representatives of Chamber member companies present at the event saw growth of their business in 2017 and 82% are planning to expand their business in Ukraine in 2018. What is more, all prominent speakers stressed the importance and hope in further growth during their speeches, inter alia Prime Ministerof Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman mentioned the new legislative agenda that takes into account essential for the business community issues and is aimed at strengthening the economy. He concluded: “I believe economic growth of 5% or even 7% is absolutely possible”. U.S. Ambassador to UkraineMarie Yovanovitch added that the fight against corruption will contribute to economic growth and is essential for Ukraine in 2018. A very special guest, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, Susan Danger, named by POLITICO as one of the top 20 female influencers in Brussels, voiced the importance of Transatlantic cooperation and why it is crucial for the prosperity of European countries.
