Asters advised EBRD on providing loan to Lantmännen Axa

Asters acted as a legal counsel to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in connection with its financing to Lantmännen Axa, a leading producer of breakfast cereals in Ukraine that is owned by Sweden’s largest agribusiness cooperative, Lantmännen.

The EBRD funds will secure the company’s financial stability, allowing Lantmännen Axa to implement an investment programme to diversify its product range, which currently includes muesli, granola and cereal bars, to introduce energy efficiency measures and to eventually expand production.

Asters’ banking and finance team advising on the project consisted of partner Iryna Pokanay, counsel Gabriel Aslanian and associates Inna Bondarenko and Viktoria Zagreba.

 

INTEGRITES advised Sibelco on asset acquisition in Ukraine

INTEGRITES acted as a legal advisor to Sibelco, one of the leading minerals and materials companies in Europe, on the acquisition of two Ukrainian clay producers – Euromineral LLC and Kurdyumovsky plant PrJSC.

INTEGRITES corporate and M&A team led by partner Illya Tkachuk provided the client with full legal assistance in the deal. The firm’s lawyers conducted due diligence of the Ukrainian target companies and supported the transaction at all stages. INTEGRITES antitrust and competition team led by partner Serhiy Shershun assisted the client with obtaining merger clearance.

The acquisition of the facilities, which have officially become part of Sibelco, helped the client to grow its positions on the regional market and increase its access to reserves of raw materials.

AVELLUM advised on acquisition of 33% stake in Ocean Plaza by UDP

AVELLUM acted as the legal counsel to UDP, a leading Ukrainian development company, on the acquisition of a 33.35% stake in Ocean Plaza, one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Ukraine and Europe.

AVELLUM provided full legal support to the client in structuring the transaction, negotiating and signing the transaction documents, as well as in the completion of the transaction. AVELLUM team was led by partner Yuriy Nechayev, with support from associates Yuliia Chelebii-Kravchenko and Yelyzaveta Kashyna.
