Approaching Opportunities

In a world full of huge variety for goods and services, consumers usually choose in line with their perception of brands. But prior to a brand’s “birth” there is the long and sophisticated work by people of marketing, finance, IP lawyers, etc. It is the whole circle from creating a trademark as an intellectual property asset, its operational use, value growth and defense from violations. All this is exactly not that easy in practice and depends on the country, industry, good/service, type of consumer, etc. Thus, trademark owners have to tread a sophisticated path before they can turn such a headache into an economic opportunity.

As the world changes, the horizons of effective trademark management also gain new tools and objectives.

In our country it is evolving with the arrival of global brand owners that always required IP protection and friendly jurisdiction.

Our contributors turned to the most practical issues that a business may face in terms of trademark management in Ukraine.
