Shares held by NSC Nadra Ukrainy in Sakhalin gas field have been won back

A court has ruled to terminate agreements on the sale and purchase of shares of the NSC Nadra Ukrainy in the Sakhalin gas field located in Kharkov Region, which had been alienated for the benefit of a private company.  The court established that in 2012 NSC Nadra Ukrainy concluded agreements with Golden Derrick LLC on sale and purchase of its three shares in joint gas production at the Sakhalin oil and gas field.  The value of the agreements was approximately UAH 12 million. The company acquired title to the shares of the state owned company. However, it violated its obligations by not paying for the shares. The Commercial Court of Kiev upheld the request to terminate the three agreements on sale and purchase of the shares and to return them to the state-owned company.

 

355 criminal proceedings against employees of SFS in 2014

37 employees of the State Fiscal Service have been prosecuted for violations of legislation, including 17 under bribery charges. In addition, law-enforcement agencies initiated 335 criminal proceedings against officials of the fiscal service concerning their official responsibilities. These include 258 cases based on the findings of the agency’s security department. Since the beginning of last year, units of the SFS security department conducted more than 3.800 official investigations and audits and charged more than 1.100 employees. 92 people employees were dismissed.

The HACU overturned decision to liquidate the Forum Bank

The Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine has allowed an appeal against the decision of the Deposit Insurance Fund to liquidate the Forum Bank. The said decision was made by the court on 22 January 2015. And so the court recognized that the decision to liquidate the bank was approved by the Fund with violations and, therefore, it was illegal.

 

Kiev court ruled to arrest Viktor Yanukovych

On 19 January 2015 at the request of the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine, the Pechersk District Court of Kiev ruled to arrest former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. It is reported that this judicial restraint will enable investigators of the Prosecutor-General’s Office to request the extradition of Viktor Yanukovych from the Russian Federation.
