Ilyashev & Partners protected Ukrainian producers of ferroalloys
International Trade Law Practice team of Ilyashev & Partners, acting under the supervision of Olena Omelchenko, protected the interests of the Ukrainian Association of the Producers of Ferroalloys and other Electrometallurgy Products in the anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of ferro-silicon originating in Egypt and Ukraine.
This is the first European Commission's anti-dumping investigation in 10 years, which resulted in imposing no anti-dumping measures concerning the imports of goods originating in Ukraine.
It is to be reminded, that on 19 June 2017 the Association of European Ferroalloy Producers (Euroalliages), lodged the complaint concerning dumped imports of ferro-silicon (CN codes 7202 21 00, 7202 29 10 and 7202 29 90) originating in Egypt and Ukraine, on the basis of which the European Commission initiated the anti-dumping investigation. Euroalliages represents the interests of major European producers of ferrosilicon, among which are Ferropem, Ferroatlantica SL, OFZ and Huta Laziska SA.
Ilyashev & Partners worked in partnership with Jones Day International Law Firm, the representatives of the ferroalloy industry, in particular, PJSC Zaporizhzhya Ferroalloy Plant, as well as the Ukrainian Association of the Producers of Ferroalloys and other Electrometallurgy Products and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
