KPMG Law Ukraine defended interests of a subsidiary of the Croatian drilling company

The KPMG Law Ukraine team represented the interests of a subsidiary of one of the largest international corporations in the field of drilling in a dispute with tax authorities regarding registration of VAT invoices.

Lawyers of the tax dispute resolution practice proved that the decision to refuse to register VAT invoices of the company is unreasonable and unsubstantiated. During the judicial appeal procedure, it was possible to substantiate that the tax invoices, compiled by the company as a recipient of services from a non-resident, are not subject to monitoring for compliance with the criteria for assessing the degree of risks at all and should be automatically registered with the Unified register of VAT invoices. As a result of the court proceedings, the court ordered the tax authorities to register tax invoices, which in fact restores the violated property rights of the company.

The project under leadership of Konstantin Karpushin, a partner, was implemented by Larysa Antoshchuk, attorney-in-law, and head of the tax dispute resolution practice. Also, KPMG Law Ukraine lawyers Yana Bazia, Iryna Khyliak and Mariia Tashchi worked on the project.
